Come enjoy a day of martial activities in a relaxed atmosphere on the fields beside a reproduction of Lewis & Clark’s Camp DuBois (stockade fort). Site is a reproduction of Camp DuBois whish was the starting point for the Lewis & Clark Expedition. This is NOT the site built by the state of Illinois that is on Route 3. This is a site built by volunteers. There is a fort on the site, lots of open field, and a full restroom with running water & showers.
Site fee: $7.00 for the weekend ($3.00 surcharge for non members)
Feast: $8.00
Activities
Equestrian activities with authorizations in the morning & games in the afternoon.
Armored authorizations, tournament & fort battle. (good chance to authorize before Pennsic)
Rapier authorizations, tournament & fort battle.
Archery during the day.
Thrown weapons during the day
Lodging
Overnight tent camping is allowed on site. The cabins in the fort are available but bunks are slat beds with no padding. Bring your own linens & padding if you want to stay in the cabins. (41 bunks)
Feast and Food
We are planning on having an open air feast in the evening ($8.00 for feast). Our hospitality tent will provide complimentary water, drinks and snacks all day Saturday for our guests.

Campfires are permitted on site. Site is wet.

Do not try to mapquest this site. Use directions provided
From I-255 go to Route 143 (Wood River/Edwardsville) and turn west toward Wood River. Go through Wood River and over the Railroad overpass. Just after the overpass will be a sign to the right for Camp DuBois. Parking will be in the field past the sign. (Follow the road around the industrial type area and to the area behind the fort to unload.)
From I-270 go to Route 3 north toward Alton. After Hartford, turn right onto Route 143 toward Wood River. Soon after turning onto Route 143 there will be a sign on the left for Camp Dubois. Parking will be in the field past the sign. (Follow the road around the industrial type area and to the area behind the fort to unload.)
