The Barony of Shattered Crystal is the local SCA branch for Madison and St. Clair counties, and the surrounding areas of Southwestern Illinois.  The Barony is based in the Belleville area of Illinois, and is a part of the Middle Kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international non-profit educational society, which is dedicated to the research and recreation of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.  Shattered Crystal is one of sixteen groups in the Midlands Region of the Middle Kingdom, the third oldest Kingdom in the SCA.  Within the Middle Kingdom, we are bordered to the North by the Shire of Sword Cliffe, to the South by the Shire of Far Reaches, and, to the East by the College of St. Carol on the Moor.  To our West the Barony of Three Rivers in the Kingdom of Calontir is our neighbor.  We heartily invite you to browse our pages, attend our meetings and get to know us- we have much to offer, for we are....
